So what is the connection between Historic Route 66 and Alexandria? Well, actually nothing very obvious. Except that our interest in travel, highways, photography and historic preservation continually attracts us to the old "Mother Road".
We've been fortunate these past few years to travel on a number journeys around our great nation, mostly in the West and mid-West. We've had the opportunity to drive on Route 66 in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California. Included below are just a few of our favorite places and scenes.
