Journeys Back to the Simpler Times in Alexandria The Register of Retrospective Visitors The Alexandria Postcard Collection Features

Welcome to Hope Arkansas! We've had strong ties to Hope all of our lives, for decades, and we still have many relatives and good friends there. We know the town and the surrounding communities well.

Hope is the birthplace of former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and the 42nd President of the United States, Bill Clinton ... and world championship watermelons!

Whether you are a newcomer to Hope, a long-time resident, or a visitor, we trust this site will be a central source for information relative to local governments in the Hope and Hempstead County area, tourism, maps, newspapers, things to do, area towns, railways, photographs, and much more!

Be sure to visit our Hope Arkansas Postcard Collection and Hope Retrospective photographs, as well as our brief history of Hope and the KCS Railway in Hope photos!

We'll look back in the at the impact of the railroad and how Hope was named, the, and the downtown structures of the past that survive today!

Just as we are anchored in today's Hope, we remain interested in its history, and share that interest with local residents, and visitors alike, in this Web site.

We try to include information about nearby communities such as Oak Grove, Springhill, Patmos, Bodcaw, Stamps and Rosston.

We'll reach out to Emmet, Nashville, Fulton, Blevins and Prescott.

Welcome to Hope!
