My first (used) automobile was purchased at Goodwill Pontiac. I remember its sign ... and the signs at the Hotel Bentley, Suburban Gardens Restaurant, Chenvert-Coty Insurance Agency, Abe's Pawn Shop, Double-V Cafe, Bridges Drug Store, Owl Fine Foods, Noah's Potato Chip, Antoon's Department Store, and other Alexandria and Pineville businesses and services!
Signs announce businesses, give directions and information, and tell stories about Alexandria, Pineville and all of Central Louisiana (CenLA).
From Third Street downtown, out Jackson Street and Lee Street, down Bolton Avenue and around the South Traffic Cirlce on MacArthur Drive, over the Red River to Pineville and Tioga, we see signs reminding us of Alexandria present, and past.
